  Treatment Coordinator

  Amber and her husband moved to Texas to be with the State’s friendly people and warmer weather. Amber has worked in the field of Cosmetic Dentistry for over ten years and is involved in each case from start to finish. One of her main roles is working with our guests during their initial consultation. This includes showing them many before and after photographs of our past guests and answering any questions they may have. She loves seeing the transformation that comes from our guests having a beautiful new smile. Amber enjoys spending time with her husband, Jason, and their son, Matthew and daughter, Reagan; she also enjoys running, hiking, mountain biking, baking and traveling.

  Ashley

  New Patient Coordinator

  Ashley spent her childhood in Virginia but moved to Kyle as a teenager and has enjoyed the Austin and Dallas areas since then. She began working in the dental field 6 years ago as a front office assistant for her uncle in Fort Worth before returning to Austin. Ashley enjoys developing relationships with her patients and sharing the experience of their transformations. “Watching our patients gain confidence in their new smiles is so exciting… it changes their lives and we get to help make that happen.” In her spare time Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband, Jonathan, and decorating their new home.

  Sheena

  Account Coordinator

  Sheena was born in San Diego and moved to Austin when she was 2yrs old. She moved to Buda for High school. She has been working in the dental field 7yrs now. During our patient’s consultations they receive a digitally created before and after smile by Sheena. “Watching our patients get excited and emotional over what they could potentially look like is an amazing experience. Having some small part in that is a great feeling.” In her spare time she is an avid reader, and a loving mother to a quirky little 10yr old boy.

  Dental Hygienist

  Danielle earned her dental hygiene degree in New Jersey where she lived and practiced for nearly 20 years. Becoming an Austin resident almost 4 years ago, she loves the Texas sunshine, outdoor recreational activities and vibrant city culture. She loves witnessing dental transformations through cosmetic dentistry and helping patients maintain a healthy and beautiful smile. ”A smile is welcoming to those you love and easily breaks down barriers when meeting new people.” Danielle is committed to personal and professional development.   Kevin is originally from NY and has lived all over the country. In February 2014 he moved to Austin and has been in love with our great city ever since. His interests include hiking, kayaking, domestic and international travel, cooking, exploring new restaurants and spending time with his dog “Gummy Bear”. Kevin loves helping our patients coordinate their treatments and thrives on hearing all of the great stories about how our services positively impact patients’ lives.

  Kali was born in San Antonio, Texas but was raised in Fort Worth. She moved to Austin in 2021. She began working in the dental field in 2021 as a dental assistant here at The Cosmetic Dentists of Austin, Kali enjoys being able to see the smile transformations and having the opportunity to learn and grow in the cosmetic side of dentistry. In her time off Kali likes to work out and enjoys being active outdoors with her 2 dogs Sadie and Tucker.

  Jessica was born in Dallas, Texas, and moved to Kyle in 2021 to join our team here at The Cosmetic Dentists of Austin. She began working as a dental assistant in 2006 in Arkansas. Jessica enjoys being able to see the patients throughout the stages of their treatment and being able to witness their transformation. In her spare time, Jessica loves to read Sci-fi and Fantasy books and snuggle with her two cats Patrick and Clementine.

  Jen was born in Houston Texas, and moved to Austin in 2013. She began working in the dental field in 1999 and joined our team at The Cosmetic Dentists of Austin in 2013.   Miranda was born in Victoria, Texas, and moved to San Antonio in 2006. She started her dental career in 2014 in cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics before joining the team in 2019. Miranda enjoys having cosmetic dentistry as a creative outlet in her life and making temporary crowns and veneers. She enjoys spending time with her three children, Pierce. Gigi and Connie and her two cats Doja Cat and Kitty Purry.

  John M. Hay was raised in south Florida and graduated from the University of North Carolina in Asheville with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. Not long thereafter, he moved to Texas and attended dental school at the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, Texas, receiving his DDS. Following graduation, John M. Hay worked in a private dental practice in Houston until his love for the Texas hill country brought him to Austin in 2008. Since 2008, John M. Hay has been a dentist in Austin, Texas and surrounding communities by providing top cosmetic dentistry and general dentistry services. John M. Hay believes that cosmetic dentistry is about more than just replacing and restoring damaged teeth.   John D. Barras, DDS

  General Dentist

  John D. Barras grew up in Orange, a small town in Southeast, Texas. From an early age he was scholastic, and on the day of his high school graduation, John D. Barras was recognized and received a standing ovation from peers for maintaining perfect attendance throughout his grade school years, K through 12th. All while maintaining his position as one of the top students in his class it was at an early age John D. Barras realized his hard work and dedication would be the catalyst for several earned scholarships paving his way into college. John D. Barras received his undergraduate degree from Southwest Texas State with a bachelor’s degree in Biology, and a minor in Chemistry. Soon after, he was accepted into dental school at the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, Texas, receiving his DDS in 2002. Post graduation, Dr. Barras served for various dental opportunities including: A mobile dental clinic serving the assisted living and medically compromised patients and dental clinics in underprivileged areas serving patients with general and cosmetic dentistry needs. It was after volunteering for a dental program in Nicaragua, he realized his enthusiasm for dentistry was unparalleled and with the love and support from family and friends, he was able to open his first private practice in the prestigious Upper Kirby District in Houston, Texas in 2004. His growth, success and passion to serve his patients lead him to add a second practice in the prominent Post Oak District, Galleria area in Houston. The opportunity to work with a highly esteemed mentor who was ready to retire sold Dr. Barras the practice in 2009, and it was in 2011 he sold his first practice focusing on Dentistry by John Barras, DDS in order to further advance his knowledge of Dentistry with continuing education at the rigorous Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in Las Vegas, Nevada.
